The new design of Balda water product lines stands out for its freshness and elegance. This wasn’t a simple restyling, but a profound intervention to update Balda water’s image to the contemporary style in line with the highly successful lines.
The logotype and labels have been completely adapted to the AQ line except for the stylized mountain that was preserved to remind clients of the water’s Alpine origin as well as to represent the continuity between the old labels and the new ones. In the Classic glass bottle line, the minimalism of the label is enhanced by the stylized source that takes on different colors in harmony with the three different types of water: Still, Sparkling and Slightly Sparkling.
This new version makes Fonte Balda take a decisive step forward towards modernity, without forgetting its history of being present on the tables of Italians since 1964.
Acqua Balda is an alkaline water that flows in the center of the Alpine chain from the Rhaetian Alps located in the north-east of the province of Brescia. Its original environment extends over a plain that goes from the Croce Domini Pass to the Tonale Pass in the heart of the Lombardy region. Its source is located in the Bagolino Valley, a place where nature takes over and leaves room for unique and distinctive local and natural flavors.
The bottle is intended for fine dining restaurants and expresses the elegance of the brand, but it respects the needs of the circular economy: recovery, sanitation and reuse while fully preserving the transparency of the glass. On the front, the embossed AQ monogram simultaneously references Aqua and the High Quality of the product.
The bottle was selected among the products of the 2021 edition of the ADI Design Index, the annual publication of ADI, the Association for Industrial Design, which includes the Permanent Design Observatory’s selection, made by the of products or product systems from each category as well as theoretical-critical research and process or business research applied to design. This is a very important result that rewards excellence as only those products included in the ADI Design Index 2021 can compete for the Compasso d’Oro ADI 2022 Award.
